It is not uncommon for a unit to be brand new, out of the crate and not start. In fact Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha dealerships, receive scooters with a problem out of the crate. A problem with a scooter out of the crate is not an occurrence mutually exclusive to online purchased units. It occurs with every brand. It requires a certified mechanic to complete a thorough check and set up for a new unit. This includes checking fuel lines, electrical connections, valve adjustment, priming the carburetor, lights, etc.

      This bike comes with fully assembled. No need to assemble that usually take the customer several hours. No need to worry about parts missing and not knowing how to assemble your bike.

    Ride Safe and Have Fun!

      Off-road riding is great fun! When you take proper safety precautions, injury is less likely to occur. As a responsible rider, you must outfit yourself in appropriate safety gear every time you hit the trails. Doing so keeps injuries and equipment damage to a minimum.

      Buy a helmet safety approved by the Department of Transportation. It will have "D.O.T." stamped on the back, near the base. It should fit snugly, allowing very little head movement within the helmet.

      Purchase a quality set of goggles. Trail debris can hit a rider in the face, and sunglasses do not offer enough eye protection. Purchase special safety goggles that easily fit over prescription eyeglasses if necessary.

      Obtain a high-quality pair of off-road riding boots. Tennis shoes and hiking boots are not safe enough for off-road trail riding. A single rock can break an ankle on an ORV trail. Stout riding boots with heavy-duty casings are essential trail safety gear.

      Buy a comfortable pair of riding gloves. Vibration from the handlebars can cause sore hands and wrists. A good pair of riding gloves will absorb some of the impact and make your ride more enjoyable.

      Purchase the appropriate clothing. Regardless of outside temperature, wear a lightweight, long sleeved shirt and thick, full-length pants to protect the skin. Breathable material is necessary, as are bright colors easily visible to oncoming riders. Riding pants and jerseys offer the rider much needed protection from overhanging limbs, branches, and flying debris.

      Acquire a chest protector. Stones thrown by other ATVs and unexpected branches in the trail can hit a person squarely in the chest while trail riding. It is extremely dangerous to have the wind knocked out of you at 50 mph. A chest protector is mandatory safety gear for ORV trail riding.

      Purchase a good neck brace. It provide strong support and good protection to your neck and it is mandatory to wear for dirt riding in some states.

    AMAZING! I was so surprised to have this thing delivered in my driveway, take it out of the packaging, and have it start it right up with no problems. It's my first dirt bike and from what I can tell, it seems pretty solid. It sounds good, works great for what I'm going to use it for. The Bluetooth speaker is a little annoying, so I do wish they made it a little easier to remove without having to trace wires back, but that's not a huge deal. After doing a bit of reading, I decided to use ethanol-free gas so the engine runs a little longer. I also didn't have any problems registering it here in the state of Utah. I will say that I went over the whole bike and made sure that any bolts & screws were fully tightened and that the wires were safely and securely ran. My front brake line wasn't secured all the way to the fork, so I just fixed that. Stuff like that could've happened in shipping though. Just to give a heads up. Super excited to get out and ride with my son!

    I got the bike this spring. Researched a bunch before I got it. I now have over 500 miles on it and love it. There is a lot to talk about so I will try to summarize. And put some questions you may have below.

    1) Who is the bike for?
    I would say it is for some one who wants a TRAIL / IN TOWN bike. That doesent mind wrenching on it. Putting it together and doing there own maintenance. Also it is not made for hard core jumping like a dirt bike and not made for freeways like a street bike.

    2) Can I make it street legal in my state?
    For this bike the Hawk 250 DLX model (fuel injected one). It is street legal in all states Ecept California.
    The standard hawk 250 (carburetor one) is Not accepted in a lot of states.
    What I needed here in Oregon was the US safety standards lable on the handle bar shaft of the bike. And yes I did have it. Pluse they should send you the Chinese title. In my state Oregon I had to trailer the bike down to the dmv, with the Chinese title. Cost about $300 for new title and stickers for 2 years. So I suggest get the Hawk 250 DLX like i did if you want to make it street legal.

    3) How fast does it go?
    So the stock Hawk 250 DLX will go 55 mph top speed. But you can get 2 new Sprockets for it and can get up to 65 mph top speed. You can find the sprockets here on amazon.
    (JT Sprockets JTF259.17 17T Steel Front Sprocket) and (JT Sprockets JTR269.45 45T Steel Rear Sprocket). I did this right when I got it and it still has tons of low end for hill climbs. Pluse Sprockets were reasonable price. Simple upgrade big difference.

    4) What oil and how much oil?
    There are tons of different opinions on oil but I will tell you what i use. First off when you get the bike. Immediately! change the oil. What it comes with is only for shipping. I started off with (Maxima Racing Oils 30-10901-2PK Premium BREAK IN OIL 10w30 Motorcycle Engine Oil ) found here on amazon. Changed it right when I got the bike and then right at 100 miles. By the way it only uses 1 quart (aka 32 Oz). Don't use what manual says at 1 1/2 quarts or you will over fill the bike. Then after 400 miles I put in my main oil here ( HONDA 08C35-A141L01 Honda Pro GN4 Motor Oil, 10W40, 1 gal ) and remember only use 1 quart per change. And if you decide to use anouther oil just make sure it is motorcycle oil and WET CLUTCH approved. Also I suggest a ( Stainless Steel Magnetic Oil Drain Plug, Suitable for M12×1.5 Models )

    5) How many MPG does it get?
    At break in I was only seeing about 80 mpg. But after break in period now, I have been getting 100 mpg = great in town commuter.

    You will need to adjust the valves. Since they are tight. I am no mechanic and I did it.
    Search up YouTube videos. There are tons of helpful videos on how to build and maintenance.

    Again, if you are willing to take the time and learn how to take care of the bike. It will take care of you. BTW it is a Honda clone. Real solid engine. And fuel injection is a dream! for starting, and elevation changes. Electric and Kick start works good too. I just love this thing.

    So far 300 miles on it no wear or fare on it whatsoever. I swear I’m not a bot , this is a super amazing cheap yet reliable bike. I beat the hell out of it daily . Running like a champ . May have to replace the tires and tubes after the first 50 miles tho so keep an eye out for that. New tires are cheap by the way so overall great bike worth the money

    I was nervous ordering this off of powersportsmax. I could not have been more impressed with the entire process and the bike itself. Excellent customer service. The seller was very communicative and responsive. I was surprised that the motorcycles arrived on the very first potential delivery date. I thought it might take weeks for them to arrive or I might have repeated delays. My husband put them together. We bought two. He said the YouTube instructionals were very easy to follow. it did take four or five hours for the first one. He took his time and made sure he was properly going through each step. But he said overall, it was simple to assemble. they run great! Good power and responsive shifting. Very easy to insure, title and register. No problems at all there.

    They are big. I am 5’10”. if I balance right in the center, I can get both my toes on the ground but not sit flat footed. they feel stable, well balanced, and easy to drive. Nice features like an electric odometer, a key start with a kickstart as well. street legal which was what we wanted . They are very good-looking bikes. And a nice combination of dirtbike and street legal— like an Enduro or dual purpose motorcycle. That’s what we wanted so that we could go around on small highways and streets as well as out in the woods. But I don’t need motocross type of bike. I am very very happy with this purchase. also, they arrived in perfect condition. No scratches or scuffs. In my opinion, the only negative reviews are from people who did not do even simple homework and read the description. They were shocked that they had to do some assembly. Not a big issue at all to do assembly at all if you have some basic tools and are just a little handy—especially for this price point! Highly recommend.

    Remarkable for the money...EXCELLENT!
    Some assembly required, but directions were clear and complete and all necessary parts were there. The quality was very high and detailing was superb. I highly recommend changing the crank case oil it was shipped with. I did, installed the battery, put in a gallon of gas and it fired right up! I do recommend only using 91 octane though. Otherwise the fuel injection gets gunked up.

    Bike was easy to assemble but came with a broken speed censor. XPro sent me a new one free of charge within 3 days. Nothing bad to say about it!
