Your purchase does not arrive "ready to ride" and generally the proper assembly involves: wheels, brakes, handlebars, shocks, battery, racks, foot rests, gas tank, gas lines, headlights and covers, mirrors, roll cage bars, seats, steering wheel, fenders, plastic guards/covers, mudguards, windshield, and trunk to name a few things. Thorough Check and Set Up
1. Not only is there a need to complete the assembly but also to ensure everything that was already installed from factory is correctly installed. This is the quality control that local dealerships perform and up-charge for. Take into consideration that your unit just traveled half way around the world since the last time anyone has touched it. It is not uncommon for a unit to be brand new, out of the crate and not start. In fact Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha dealerships, receive scooters with a problem out of the crate. A problem with a scooter out of the crate is not an occurrence mutually exclusive to online purchased units. It occurs with every brand. It requires a certified mechanic to complete a thorough check and set up for a new unit. This includes checking fuel lines, electrical connections, valve adjustment, priming the carburetor, lights, etc.
