    Assembly / Tune Up Required

      Assembly Required
      1. All our units come in the "Original Factory Package" which means that you receive your purchase in the same exact way a dealership would receive it from the manufacturer. This implies that you, or a certified mechanic, will need to complete the assembly and quality control that a dealership would normally perform.
      2. Your purchase does not arrive "ready to ride" and generally the proper assembly involves: handle bar brackets, front wheel, front brake, number plate and front fender, and battery. (May differ per model)

      Tune Up Required
      1. Not only is there a need to complete the assembly but also to ensure everything that was already installed from factory is correctly installed. This is the quality control that local dealerships perform and up-charge for. It requires a certified mechanic to complete a thorough check and set up for a new unit. This includes checking fuel lines, electrical connections, valve adjustment, priming the carburetor, lights, etc.

Assembly and Test Service Available at Discounted Price!

    • If you do not want to deal with hassles of assembly, fuel lines, battery, tune up , etc, you can purchase our "Fully Assembled and Tested" service. Local dealership usually charge you $200-$500, while at powersportsmax.com, we only charge you 1/2 or 1/3 of their prices and offer same level of services!

    • Fully Assembled and Tested Service
      1. All of our assembled vehicles are assembled and tested in the U.S. by professionals with over 40 years experience combined.
      2. Guaranteed proper assembly. You can ride worry-free knowing that this unit was assembled by a professional!
      3. Save time and money with a unit that's already assembled. On average local shops will charge around $200 for assembly service. Whether you planned on paying a local shop for assembly or if you planned on assembling your unit on your own you still save money! Your time is money!
      4. We offer the genuine dealership grade assembly, inspection, set-up, and testing done right here in the U.S. Our mechanics have the knowledge and experience to perform a service that will result in a great amount of longevity for your purchase.

    Ride Safe and Have Fun!

Off-road riding is great fun! When you take proper safety precautions, injury is less likely to occur. As a responsible rider, you must outfit yourself in appropriate safety gear every time you hit the trails. Doing so keeps injuries and equipment damage to a minimum.

Buy a helmet safety approved by the Department of Transportation. It will have "D.O.T." stamped on the back, near the base. It should fit snugly, allowing very little head movement within the helmet.

Purchase a quality set of goggles. Trail debris can hit a rider in the face, and sunglasses do not offer enough eye protection. Purchase special safety goggles that easily fit over prescription eyeglasses if necessary.

Obtain a high-quality pair of off-road riding boots. Tennis shoes and hiking boots are not safe enough for off-road trail riding. A single rock can break an ankle on an ORV trail. Stout riding boots with heavy-duty casings are essential trail safety gear.

Buy a comfortable pair of riding gloves. Vibration from the handlebars can cause sore hands and wrists. A good pair of riding gloves will absorb some of the impact and make your ride more enjoyable.

Purchase the appropriate clothing. Regardless of outside temperature, wear a lightweight, long sleeved shirt and thick, full-length pants to protect the skin. Breathable material is necessary, as are bright colors easily visible to oncoming riders. Riding pants and jerseys offer the rider much needed protection from overhanging limbs, branches, and flying debris.

Acquire a chest protector. Stones thrown by other ATVs and unexpected branches in the trail can hit a person squarely in the chest while trail riding. It is extremely dangerous to have the wind knocked out of you at 50 mph. A chest protector is mandatory safety gear for ORV trail riding.

Purchase a good neck brace. It provide strong support and good protection to your neck and it is mandatory to wear for dirt riding in some states.

We carry all types of high quality name brand riding and protective gear. Click Riding Gear to see our full selection.

Like I said in the title, you are not buying a Japanese bike. Keep in mind when buying that it is a cheaper build. That being said, I am super happy with it. I run a private yacht for a living and needed something light, cheap, and more powerful than a 50cc to get around at our destinations. Easily pick it up with the davit and put it on the boat deck. Packaging was nice and very few scuffs. All I did before riding was oil change (Rotella T5 15w-40), spark plug change to a NGK plug, changed front and rear sprockets to 17/45 (JT Sprockets), and put Loctite on as many bolts as I could. Again, super happy with the purchase and if you are looking for a cheap, easy to work on bike, this is it!

After watching countless videos online and reading about this bike on forums dedicated to Chinese motorcycles I decided to purchase the Hawk DLX.

I received it about two weeks after purchase. I contacted the seller directly via the phone number listed on his Amazon account several times throughout the process and they have always been very helpful. R&L trucking was the carrier who delivered the bike. It came on a small box truck with a lift gate. The driver was able to use a pallet jack to get the crate all the way up my driveway and into my car port. The bike came with the usual rub marks on the engine case due to its long journey to get to me. That is to be expected. No complaints.

I assembled the bike in a couple hours with a little bit of consulting the included DVD, and googling. I had never assembled a front end like this before. An impact and torque wrench will save you loads of time. The little tool set that is included is useless and should go straight into the trash. The decals that come on all of the plastics make the bike look super cheap and chintzy, so I elected to remove them. Luckily they peeled extremely easily and left behind no residue whatsoever. Nice! I then swapped the factory headlight bulb out for a fanless LED. I also checked the valve clearances on the motor, as resources online indicate that these motors come tightened way out of spec from the factory. My bike was no different. The intake and exhaust valves were both torqued all the way down with no clearance. I adjusted the valves to the proper clearances, and changed the oil to Rotella T6 15W-40. I also took this opportunity to swap the oil drain bolt out for a magnetic one. It is very important that you don't run the engine with the oil that it comes with. It is there only to coat the internals for shipping. I noticed that the chain was also way too tight from the factory, and tried to use my torque wrench to remove the rear axle nut to adjust chain tension. It wouldn't budge. At this time I noticed that from the factory the rear axle nut had been tightened down so tight that it actually started to cave in one side of the swingarm. Once I got the rear wheel off with a breaker bar I replaced the rear sprocket with a JT 45 tooth. For some reason all four rear sprocket dampener bolts were secured with LOADS of red loctite. I had to use a breaker bar to get those off and swap the sprocket as well.

    Function and riding:
After going over all the nuts and bolts on the bike with a wrench to double check the manufacturer's work I added some fuel and the bike fired right up! I let it heat cycle one time then took it for a nice hard ride to "break it in." The bike did great! It has tons of low end torque It will do about 65 with a 45 tooth sprocket on the rear. I have ordered a 17T front sprocket as well. Even with a smaller rear sprocket 1st gear is pretty short. The seating position is a little bit too far forward for my comfort level, but I will adjust in time. It should be mentioned that this is a full size bike- I am 5'11" with a pretty high waist and I can't flat foot this bike at the factory ride height. I enjoy sitting up tall thought so I didn't adjust the rear shock at all. The brakes are pretty mushy so give yourself plenty of room to stop on the street. Emergency braking is probably not ideal on this setup. I will have to work on the breaks eventually. The rubber foot peg pads and be pulled straight off which I did. I prefer the grip from the spiked metal pegs. The digital dash is SUPER nice, and way better than I expected. It is very bright, and has a gear indicator and fuel indicator in addition to the speedometer and tachometer. It also has the capability to record mileage on two separate trip indicators. This is a non-counterbalanced single cylinder motor mounted straight to the frame so it does vibrate a good amount. The gas cap also doesn't lock... so that kind of stinks. The ignition locks though, and it doesn't just lock the steering- it has a drop down plate that blocks the lock tumbler completely unless you use the factory key to move it. The suspension felt perfect for an enduro. Not too firm, not too soft. It handled like I would expect.

    Uh oh:
After my first ride I noticed that there was a substantial fuel leak coming from the fuel pump under the tank. I tightened down all four fuel pump bolts as tight as I felt comfortable and the fuel was still leaking. It appears to have been wicking down the threads from the bolts themselves. After looking online, this appears to be a common problem. There are fixes online for it involving cutting out your own fuel pump gasket from fiber gasket material which seem to have very good results. I have contacted the seller about it and they are sending out replacement parts to try first. I have also requested a replacement rear swingarm, as riding on a dented one is not safe.

Inexpensive fuel injected enduro, outstanding value for your money
Ships to your door mostly assembled
Inverted upgraded forks over the standard hawk
    Really nice digital dash
    Nice 50/50 tires
A lot of Honda CG250 motor parts are compatible
Great customer service from the seller
Lots of low-end torque (yes it wheelies)
Comes with small burrito tube and a locking bolt on the frame for chaining up the bike
The DLX factory exhaust is really nice. Perfectly loud thump. I like it a lot.

Will require tweaking and adjustment just about everywhere prior to riding
May have defects from improper assembly at the factory and shipping that need to be corrected
    Gas cap doesn't lock
Factory gearing is suited primarily for off-road and will need new sprockets to achieve highway speeds

If you like to wrench a bit and want an enduro to entertain yourself on without breaking the bank this bike is a stellar choice. Despite the defects on the unit that I received I regret not buying one sooner. I think it is worth every penny.

Been wanting to get one of these for some time. It arrived within 10 days of placing the order with powersportsmax. Make sure you send a message to the seller as soon as the order is placed with the order number and give them your physical shipping address and a phone number for the freight carrier to use. You must be present to sign for the order and the driver that delivers mine helped me unbox and inspect because there was a distinct impact on the front of the box with a fist size hole. Even tho the shrink wrap looked as if the damage was after it was secured to the pallett and wrapped. See attached photos. It looked OK and I signed for it. It realistically took me about two and a half hours of time to put together. Most of what was in the assembly video link they sent me was already done. Rear brakes were fine, had to bleed the front tho. Other than that all went great. I did however discover the lenz to the speedo/instrument cluster assy was broken, I took photos and message to powersportsmax, got a reply within a few hours that my request was forward to their parts department. Next day had a message from powersportsmax with a fedex tracking number shipping my part from Ricky Power Sports, LLC Carrollton, TX. Speedo arrived 3 days later on a Saturday. Now I am just waiting on the OEM paperwork so I can register the bike and be able to ride it on the road (legally). I will also update the riding experience at that point too. With all the youtube videos on this I really don't know how much I can add to that, but will still update my rating depending on how well the paperwork aspect of this ordeal goes. Stay tuned!!!

Great bike. I'm a new rider and this is a great bike for me. It's a lot taller than I expected. I'm 5'9 and I gotta tip toe on it. But overall I'm pretty happy with it. The box it came in was shredded and expected the bike to be in similar shape but was surprised it wasn't. Front fender was pretty scratched up even with it being completely covered in bubble wrap, so it had to have been scuffed before being put into said wrapping. But like I said, overall it's a good running bike. Lacks some power. Took about 3 hours to finish assembly with a few helping hands.

Story time, it arrived at my shop (I'm a construction equipment repair technician), and everyone gathered around, pointing out small bubbles in decals, a chip in the paint, the tiny imperfections. Lets be real, is it perfect? No its less than 1/2 the price of the competition. Is it extremely easy to ride and fun? You bet your boots it is! Starts and runs amazingly, the lights and everything worked, I did automatically switch out the head lamp for LED, put dielectric grease on all connectors, installed K&N air filter, spark plug, checked all the hardware and inspected frame, all looked great, not beautiful perhaps, but functional. I honestly think that this bike is under priced for what you are getting, will it last, I don't know yet but I do know that with parts being dirt cheap and available I think it will be a good toy to beat around and if you scratch it, life goes on...

I was blown away by how helpful the seller was. As I expected, the motorcycle shipped with minor issues. I contacted the seller and they very politely provided me with parts to fix this. The motorcycle works surprisingly well and has some pretty nice suspension. Cheap upgrades can easily be made. I highly recommend getting this motorcycle because of the efi!

The hawk dlx 250 EFI took me a few hours to assemble but it wasn't too difficult. It is a solid motorcycle, that is light weight and easy to ride. It starts right up each time. It lacks in power and could benefit from a 6th gear, but all in all its a blast! I have 60 worry-free miles on mine so far. I recommend it.

450 mile UPDATE: no issues, still runs great. I upgraded the spark plug to an E3, and the headlight bulb to LED.
